What does The Hendricks County Humane Society do


The Hendricks County Humane Society is all volunteer. We do Fundraising, Organize Adoption Events and Dog Park Events. See our website for more information and pictures.

We do not have a sheter. Hendricks County has Animal Control and we work with them and many rescue groups in the area to help find homes for pets. We are also now providing fostering help these groups. Some of our pets listed are from ARK Pet Fostering, which is a facility that fosters many of our pets.

We have a wonderful LOW-COST SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM (The Hope Program) for people who cannot afford to have their pets sterilized due to low incomes or special situations. If you would like information on our HOPE program or other low cost alternatives in the area, please go to our web site or call our office and leave your Name, Address, and Phone #, and the number of certificates that you need, and we will be happy to send the infomation out to you.
We also have a HUMANE EDUCATION program. If you are interested in having our educator come and talk to your class, group, or club, or would like to receive infomation about our programs, please call our office and leave a message for Mardee. This is a free service.

Adopting a friend

If you have an animal that needs to be re-homed, please call our office and leave a message and someone will get back in touch with you and see if we can help.

Our new office is located on the square in Danville, IN. Since we are a volunteer organization, we currently do not have regular business hours, but we can make arrangements to meet you there if you need to pick up a Hope Certificate. When you call and leave a message, we will get back to you as soon as possible.
